SATURDAY'S CRICKET.

PARAPARAUMU AND LEVIN MAKE I A DRAW OF IT. I From every point of view cricket [ enthusiasts were disappointed on I Saturday as they watched the match ! between Levin and Paraparaumu, on the 'former's ground.' During the afternoon the teams had to retire on several occasions on account of the rain, which fell intermittently. The visitors' bowling was good, and accounted for several of the home team's best men. Rose and Phillips, who usually can be depended upon to register good scores, failed, to make dotulble figures. Moodie, not out with 20, was the best scorer, of the day. Allen, one of the visitors,' making 16 was the next best. When stumps were drawn Paraparaumu were eight down for 56, and Levin, who already had- compiled S 9, had to be content with a draw. Thus still leaves them with a three-point lead. Lynch did a lot of damage to the home side's wickets, his average being 5 for 35, Auckram for Levin acting in a similar capacity with 5 for 33. The full scoring was as follows: LEVIN. Phillips, c Weggery, b Thompson 4 Rose, c Reeve, b Lynch 7 Hunt, b Lynch , 13 Fletcher, b Lynch , 2 Mackenzie, b Lynch 0 Walker, b Thompson ,- 3?
