There was a goot attendance of buyers present and the result of Uhe sale was most satisfactory to the vendor. Quota- j tuition with use of instruments should tooth wethers 25/3, cull ewes 20/, good j woolly lambs 14/2 to 17/4,' cull lambs | 7/4, 2-tooth S.D. rams 5& gms., Romney rams 2 gns. Best cows £lO to £l4, medium cows £8 to £9 5/, others £6 to £6 10/ (herd average £9' 6/, "18 months heifers r.w.b. £4, empty heifers £2 7/6, wcancr heifers 15/ to 20/, forward condition cows £3 9/, "bull £6 10/. Pedigree sow 95 gns., weaner pigs 11/6, aged draught horse £27, light harness horse £5. Sundries sold at full market values. Messrs Dalgety and Co., Ltd. report a large entry of sheep and a fair entry of cattle at Otaki sale on the lltti inst. Attendance of buyers was large. The majority of the ewes offering were low in condition and were not in demand. There was a fair demand for wethers at late rates. Lamibs were in sympathy with freezing rates. Practically tihe whole yarding was sold. Quotations: M.S. lamibs 8/1, 9'2 13/1, h.f. lambs 13/6 to 14/7, m.s. 2-tooths 'lB/, 2-tooth eAves 24/3, 2-too.ffli wethers (small) 17/6, 2 and 4-tooth wethers 24/4 to 24/6. 2-year steers £5, store pigs (small) 20/.
