Dilapidated though the machine was, it got the venturesome quartette to their destination, after a good deal of persuasion, in time for the first race, and the contraption formed a Striking contrast to the latest modelled limousines and sedans when it was lined up on the course parking stand. The homeward journey proved more eventful, and took over nine hours to accomplish.
