DOCTOR’S REMARKABLE
Dr. Robert Reid Rentoul, of Hartington Road, Liverpool, who left £18.705, with net personality £12.555, directed that after his death a doctor should “divide all the soft tissues of both my wrists down to the bones.’’ He added that it “might help on the study of medicine if my kidneys weie examined by microscope and reported upon in the. medical journals.” He also directed that his remains should b e cremated and the ashes scattered to the winds, and that no flowers "or outward show oi grief or regard shall be used at the cremation or in connection with my passing.” , To his housekeeper he left a £l5O life annuity, his gramophone and records, pictures and all the effects in her room, kitchens, larder, pantry, etc.. To his son, Richard Lawrence Rentoul, he left £IOO, his personal jewellery and certain books, and the residue or liis property upon trust for his nephew, Steele Henderson IRentoul, Presbyterian Minister, of Westercraigs, Dennistoun, Glasgow, for life.
