SHANNON STOCK SALE.

The Shannon sale was held in the local yards on Monday, when a fair yarding of sheep came forward, .and only a small yarding of cattle. There was a, keen demand for lambs which sold readily at prices Is to 2s per head higher than recent sales, the auctioneer stating that the prices realised were the best he knew of this season., Cattle* were sold at ruling rates. The following are the prices realised:— Sheep: Good rape lambs (shorn) 20s 7d, shorn rape lainbs 15s 3d to 17s, shorn store lambs 12s Id, cull lambs (shorn) 8s Bd, fail mid forward ewes 17s 7d. Cattle: Weaner heifers 15s to 22s 6d, fat cows £3 16s, £4 7s 6d, £4 10s, £5 5s to £5 10s, forward cows £2 10s, potter bulls £2 17s 6d to £5.
