A MOTOR TOUR.

SHANNON -PARTY'S IPILEASAN.T HOILIDAY, Messrs H. Hook, G. Mitchell and W. Quanrie returned home on Friday evening after having made a most enjoyable motor tour of the North Island. : The party, after leaving Sliannon, proceeded to Napier, where the first niglif was spent. The next move was on to Taupe, then to Tokaanu and back to W'airakei, where two days w.as among the thermal regions and while there the party indulged in some fishing.., Leaving there they journeyed on to Rotorua, .where visits made to Whaka, Blue and Green Lakes, Fairy Springs and Hamurana terraces and springs, two days being 1 spent in sight seeing in these parts. From Rotorua they proceeded to Te Puke and 'Tauranga and while at the former place they were the guests of Mr and Mrs Murphy, erstwhile well-known residents of Shannon. After a short stay at Tauranga, they ■•went on to Auckland via the Hauraki (Plains, Walhi and.Pokeno. On arrival at the miorthern-'cify tAvo days were spent sight seeing, at the completion of which file return journey was commenced,' the motorists proopeding to Hiampon and on to Waltomo G'ayes. The party are loud in their praise of the beauties of the From there they journeyed on to New Plymouth viia (Mokaju and Mount Messenger.
