AT BETHLEHEM.
PILGRIMS! IN MOTOR CARSLONDON*, January 3. Shepherds tending their flocks on the hillsides round Bethlehem,- as their forefathers did on the night ot Christ's birth, saw unprecedented numbers of motor oars, packed with English, American, and other pilgrims, from all over the world, assembling to witness the Christmas services in the Basilica of the Nativity. A thousand orphans, singing Latin, English, French, and Italian hymns, welcomed the Greek Patriarch, who celebrated the Midnight Mass, and laid an image of the infant Jesus in the manger ■within the grotto where Christ was born. Arabs, peeping in at the open doors, watched the proceedings with the deepest'interest. /
