BOLSHEVIK CHESS.
WORKMEN FOR KINGS. LONDON, December 8. The Soviet .authorities designed what they call "revolutionary chessmen," which Leningrad is manufacturing in mass quantities in connection with the international chess tournament held at Moscow, says the Riga correspondent of the Times., The king is represented by a workman, the queen by a peasant woman, and the pawns by "Pionerld," namely, members of the children's sh'evik organisation.
