SHOCK FOR THE CUSTOMS .ADEOUDE, Dec. 15. A glaring case of What is alleged to be attempted smuggling was discovered when a passenger and bis wife left the steamer Ormuz. •The man was wearing Oxford bags, and a Customs official, noticing a fringe of silk protrlukling above one •' boot, became suspicious and searched the man. ' He found silk Spanish shawls wound around the passenger's legs. The man's wife was then searched, and more shawls and a length of marocain wound round the woman's « body were found.
