TRAIN RACES WITH DEATH.
BROTHERLY LOVE. NEW YORK, Nov. 17. Wealth enabled a devoted brother to beat death in a thrilling race. When Guy Waggoner received a telegram advising him that his sister was Seriously ill and not expected to live he immediately chartered a special train. It completed the journey of 1051 miles from St. Louis to New York in 20 ho.nrs. All the other trains side-tracked, giving the special a clear run. Waggoner arrived in time, and rewarded the train crew with £IOOO.
