The marriage ,o ; f Alma Rose, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs F. J. Gray, of Venn Street, Shannon, to Norman Patrick, 'second son of Mr and the late Mr« P. Gill, of Vance Street, Shannon, took place at the Catholic Church on Thursday at 10 o'clock. The Church, which was prettify decorated 'with white flowers, was full to overflowing with relatives and friends of the happv couple. The ceremony performed thy Rev. Father McDermoft, parish priest of Foxton. The bride, who was given %way by her father, wore a beautiful gown of fawn brocaded crepe de chine with hat, stockings and shoes en suite, and carried a bouquet.of cream roses and maiden hair fern, the gift of the bridegroom's grandparents. In attendance on the bride was her sister 'Miss Myrtle Gray, who wore pale green brocaded crepe de chine and a (black hat and carried a (beautiful bouquet of pink roses and maiden hair fern, and Miss Wilson, of Auckland, aunt otf the jbride, iwho Wore a pretty frock of pale blue crepe de chine and hat to match. The bridegroom was attended-by his brother, Mr Tom Gill. Mrs Butler presided at the organ, and played the "Wedding . March" as the bridal party, left the church. The bridegroom's gift to. th« bride was a gold brooch and also gold brooches to the bridesmaids. After'the ceremony about 30 couples were entertained at >the Parish Hall, where the usual toasts were honoured. Afterwards the happy couple left by train for the North, carrying with them the best wishes of all friends. Tkeir future home will be in Palme'rston North. The Ibaide travelled in a fawn costume and hat and wrap to match. The presents were numerous and costly, including a number of cheques.
