NEW REGENT STREET.
"VULGAR MONSTROSITIES." LONDON, Nov. 20. Mr Goodhardt-Renda.l, president of the Architectural Association, describes the reconstructed Regent street as the crowning achievement of the English haphazard school of architecture. "It was a -wonderful opportunity of showing the world that modern English architecture coiilrt do, but the constructed monstrosities in stone are vulgar and ridiculous, and a display of sheer ignorance." he ; says. "The street should be .blown up."
