Statistics compiled by the British Trade Commissioner and submitted to the Horowhenua County Council on Saturday, showed that of 19,378 cars and commercial vehicles imported in 1924 into New Zealand, 10.454 came from the United Kingdom, while 2230 motor' cycles. were, imported in that year from Britain, wdiereas only 183 S came from the U.S.A.. The importation of English, cars showed a considerable proportionate increase over the previous year.
