It was decided to endeavour to have the area near tile swings laid down, in asphalt. GENERAL, The visiting committee, Messrs Roberts and Lanksliear, reported they had visited the school and had been imjpressed with the working of the school generally. They stressed the point that something should he done to keep the playing area dry.—The chairman said that awing to the hard clay formation the drainage was not as satisfactory, as it should be, and he suggested that it be. ploughed and levelled' to enable the water to get away. This was agreed to, Tippler, Blackwood and Watkins being given'power to have , the work done.

It was decided to| replace those native shrubs' recently planted that bad not struck. Mr Blackwood’s-offer to get the shrubs being accepted. A financial statement -furnished by the secretary showed that £4B 18s Oil was in hand towards the purchase of a piano. The headmaster reported that arrangements have been made with Messrs Hotcheu and Watts, bus proprietors, to convey children to and from the school from the Buckley corner on the Levin road. He also reported that the total number of children on the roll is 371 with an average attendance for the past quarter of 342. Accounts totalling £24 15s 7d were passed for payment.
