On Saturday “Strathmore” will be 'screened at the Maoriland Theatre. The supports include a comedy, gazette, scenic and educational picture. “SMOULDERING FIRES.” The majestic grandeur and beauty of Yosemite National Park is the background for some of the important sequences in “Smouldering Fires.” After a. busy life, her energies centered entirely on the factory she owns, a middle-aged woman permits herself to fall in love with a man half her age. For ti time after their marriage sflie is supremely happy, but there comes the day when she learns that her husband and Vr vounger sister are deeply in love with each other. This tensely dra : matic stpry is told in this picture. Pauline Frederick and Laura La Plante are co-starred. “Smouldering Fires” will be screened on .Saturday at Tokomaru and on Monday at Shannon.
