WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE CONTINUANCE.
Whoever it was who first inspired the official Prohibitionists to create the mirage of "the liquor traffic" was a publicity expert of extreme artfulness. But he forgot one thing.
He forgot that, when the time comes to take off the gloves and fight the Prohibition question tooth and nail, FACTS are apt to overshadow artificial "stunts."
Because the fact is the Prohibition Party is no more in combat with a "liquor traffic" than the Continuance Party is opposed to Temperance. There is no such thing as a "liquor traffic" in New Zealand. "Traffic'' in liquor comes only with Prohibition. The Prohibitionist enforcement officer, the bootlegger, and the peddler of deadly "moonshine"—the inevitable offspring of Prohibition—are the only traffickers in liquor. This is no mere hair-splitting. The constant reiteration of the term "liquor traffic" is a deliberate ruse to deceive those who are susceptible in the lure of words. Every penny spent in the attempt to foist Prohibition on this country is a penny spent in inviting the very worst form of liquor "traffic" ever conceived. It is not a case of what you think or I think; the facts cannot be avoided. All over the face, of the United States are written the lines of sorrow, debauchery and crime—caused by the unnatural, deceitful thing call or] "Prohibition." Do not be deceived by the sentimental "bogies" of the paid Prohibitionists. Vote according io the proven fads—Published bv Arrangement. 3
