THE' MAYOR’S, APPEALTo the People of Shannon and Surrounding District. The Shannon Choral Society is giving a concert on toe.24th ol September to raise funds to carry on then work. The public, should consider the benefits the "Society lias given local public institutions. The cost of carrying on, paying rents, purchase of music and material is very heavy. I hope the public will roll up in numbers on the -24th and.give the Society a bumper house. Apart from the good achieved in giving public benefits, the Society, in encouraging the cultivation of music and singing, is doing a great social work in the town Yours Faithfully, WM. MURDOCH.
