Detailed by his chief to recover a code book stolen by a band ol' conspirators and to he sold to a European crook named Holden, Cyril Gordon discovers that he and Holden are strikingly alike in appearance. Adding enough disguise to bring that resemblance to perfection, Gordon outguesses the rascals and so splendidly impersonates the sharper that lie not only recovers tlie code but marries a lovely heiress. She weds a man she had never seen until she approached the altar with him.
