AT THE SALEYARDS.
GOOD DEMAND FOR PIGS, The offering of pigs was very good at yesterday's sale in the Levin stock yards, and considering the time of the year a fair yarding of sheep and cattle. In the pig section weaners fetched from 13s 6d to ISs, good weaners brought 20s, small stores from lis to 255, good stores 30s to 355, light porkers to 38s Cd, light baconers £3 12s (>d to £3 15s, sows in pig made £4 10s. Extra prime wethers were knocked down at £2. 19s 6d, fat wethers £2 3s 6d, light fat ewes 255, small ewe hoggets 22s Bd, prime fat lambs realised £2 apiece. With regard to cows, fat fetched £4 17s 6d to £6 is, fat heifers £5 17s 6d, light fats £3 ' to £4 7s, forward condition reached £3 17s 6d stores made 32s Gd to £3 ss, empty heifers, £2, Jersey weancr heifers to £2 6s, heifers in calf £3 to £3 10s.
