Briefly the Max I Brand story which Director Chester Bennett has so deftly adapted to the screen, has to do with a mysterious murder syndicate, as well as with the dual personality of a cold, polished, heartless, middle-aged gambler named “Nicholas Zanten” and a ' young man of fashion named “Dick Sterling.’’ “THE TURMOIL.” As “Bibbs” Sheridan, idealistic sun of a self-made, case-hardened millionaire, George Haekathorne, famous for his work in “Merry-Go-Round” and other notable successes, has what he believes his most reI markable role. This is one of the t principal parts lin “The Turmoil,” | universal’s spectacular screening of ! Booth Tarkington’s celebrated novel. The story will be shown at the Maoriland Theatre on Monday. It is a Hebert Henley production and the biggest effort of his career.
