SMALL YARDING OF STOCK.
There was an unusually small yarding of stock at the Levin weekly sale yesterday. In the case of'pigs tins lebuitea hi a hardening of prices to the extent of a couple oi shillings per neau. Sheep in a number of instances failed to meet vendors' reserves, operations being cautious all round. What cattle were offered gold on a par with-late -rates. Prices were as lollow: , x , Pigs: Good weaners 16s, light stores ils to 255,' good tq 31s, light Pikers 3is to 365, heavier porkers ix to *« Is, baeoners £3. y Sheep: Fat and forward ewes i*s 6d cull ewes 14s, medium lambs 17s. Cattle: Light fat cows £3 10s to U Bs, heavier £5 7s 6d, forward cows 37s 6d to 455, store cows to 345, good springing cows £7 10s to £9 10s, bulls £2.
