The final recount of votes for the election of Mayor and. councillors took place yesterday morning. The only alterations being that Mr secured 225 votes instead qi m while Mr Watkins, who was placed eightn among the successful candidates with 217 .votes, was found to have secured only 212 votes, thus losing ihis posiliofi to Mr E. Spencer, who obtained 213 votes.
