(To the Editor:) Sir.—As a visitor to Shannon on \nzae Day let me congratulate the powers that he on their organisation for the way they earned out splendid arrangements in getting together such a large crowd at the Cenotaph to commemorate the day that so manv hold sacred. The singing was exceptionally -good, led by a Jai'S 0 choir and the hymns and anthems most' appropriate. Both addresses were verv suitable and the theme oi the clergyman was well chosen: '''What mean ye by these stones.' A pathetic part of the service was when tin; little school children laid their flowers and wreaths on the Cenotaph whilst the. band played "Lead, Kindly I ight " Long may such gatherings continue.-! am, etc,
