DOMAIN EXECUTIVE’S BALANCE SHEET.

For tiie benefit of the public who so generously contributed funds for improvements to the Domain per medium of the Queen Carnival some tune ago, we herewith publish the balance sheet of the Domain Executive’s Fund which lias been audited ahd found correct' by Mr Brann. The account on the 18th March, 1925, shows a credit balance at the post office of 17s Id and to this amount is to be added approximately two years interest. The expenditure to the above date is as followst-Car fare and tea for FoxtOn Band £4 10s, rent Dru ds Hall £5; do. Maorlland Theatre 10s. prize money tug-of-war £lO, 4 gold pendant, chocolates and queen s dress £l6, advertising “News” £"3 Bs, stationery, stamps and refreshments 19s 8d; making the total amount of expenditure in running the carnival £4*. 7s Bd. To be added to this is the following cost for work and material at the Domain:— Brick and. W' <*>• £34 •9s lOd, A. Carkeek £46 2s, carting and freight £7 7s Bd, E DWJgofl » 6d, Brick and Ripe Co. £3 9s 10 . d, Labour £44 3s 7d, Shannon News £1 7s, Barinatyne and Hunter' £1 55.. A grand total of £IBO 18s Id. . , Tlie receipts were: —Money raised queens. £551 17s Bd, entry fees, for tug-of-war £2, cash takings Druids Hall £8 12s, do. Maoriland Hall £ls 7s, interest at post office £7 18s 6d. Thus leaving a balance at post office of £404 17s Id.
