Rouinson, who said tiiese gentlemen would be pleased to answer aiiy questions members cared tq ask. Tne visitors were, heartily welcomed. Mr Carmichael addressed the meeting, and expressed pleasure at being present, and gave information as to the prospects of the game in Ihe Union, which he said were very promising indeed, and from data, which hadj come to hand it was believed there would be about eight more teams competing this year than last. Mr A. Stevenson asked whether the Foxton youths had had a fair run last year. < Mr Carmichael said the rule book laid down that home and home matches were to be played. It was unfortunate that Foxton only had one team, as against two in Levin, whicfti meant that' Foxton (had to travel twice as against Levin’s once. Mr Alexander asked whether it was fair that extra rounds should have been added. The renly was that the executive committee decided that the extra rounds should, be played, as the season was not over. Several pertinent questions were then asked ini regard to the Nash Cup. Mr Carmichael said the drawings were taken out of the hat, which was
fair.
