PRESENTATION TO SECRETARY.
At the. conclusion of the above Mr J. Duschenski asked the chairman, on behalf of tbe members of tbe branch, to make a presentation of a case of Loewc pipes to the retiring secretary. Mr D. Reid, who. is leaving toe district, as a mark of their appreciation ol' the excellent work Mr Reid bad done in furthering the interests of the branch since its inception.. Mr Tippler, to making the presentation, said it afforded him much pleasure and lie paid a high tribute to Mr Reid’s energies on tiie Union’s behaU. Speaking, personally, he said 'fie had travelled about toe district a lot with .Mr Reid and he had always found him one of the best and on behalf of all present he wished Mr and Mi's Reid and family the best of good r°rtune and happiness in their new home. Mr Re.id in returning thanks, said lie was sorry to be leaving, but he appreciated toe members’ good wishes and anything he had done was only for toe best. It wag decided to forward a letter of appreciation to Mr lleid for the services he has rendered the Union.
