TOKOMARU FOOTBALL CLUB.
THE. ANNUAL MEETING. DECLARES AGAINST LEAGUE. The annual meeting of the Tokomaru Football club was held in the Tokomaru Hall on fi'uesday, March 24th. Mr C. Osman occupied the chair. The. minutes of the last annual meeting w.ere read, together with the. balance sheet, the Club showing a profit on the season of over £2O. Owing to Mr Parr resigning as secretary his brother, Mr H. Pair, was elected to the position. Mr L. Wilton was re-elected as treasurer and Mr J. R. Whyte as president of the Club. Mr J. Dalzell was appointed as coach. It was decided to enter a junior team again this season, Mr J. Dalzell was also elected as cluib captain. Messrs W. Dalzell, A. Reid, C. Osman, G. Sjmpson, L. Dalzell, L. Wilton and H. Parr were elected as a Management Committee. Mr .1. Dalzell and W- Dalzell were appointed as selectors. Mr W. Dalzell was appointed as delegate to the H.R.U. and Mr L. Wilton as a vicepresident to same. Messrs M. Parr, L, Dalzell, A. Reid, C. Osman, J. Dalzell and H. Parr were elected as an entertainment committee.
It was decided that the Tokomaru Club would have nothing to do whatever with League. During tbe evening Mr Roberfehaw spoke about the proposed amalgamation of the H.R'.U. and Manawatu.
Messrs W. Moynihan, T. Dalzell and other visitors from Shannon were present. A match is to be played, between Tokomaru and Shannon tomorrow.
The Tokomaru Club intends to run a social and dance probably on Saturday next. ,
