Electric alarms: Circuits, 104; boxes 791; automatic alarms, 150; telephones, 27. Motors: Hose and ladder, 55;-chemi-cal, hose and ladder, 30; electric ladder, 2; pump, hose and ladder, 10; first aid pump, hose and ladder, 8; total, 105. Fire engines: Steam, 14; manuals, 27; hand drawn chemicals, 11; total, 3 52. Hose carts: Horse drawn, 2; hand drawn; 205; total 207. Ladders: Motor traction, 3; extension, 88; single and coupling, 354; total, 445. Jumping sheets; 5; smoke helmets, 14; smoke masks, 14; hand pumps, 82. Hand chemical ektinctuers, 271. Stanpipes:. Ratchet values, 81; double heads, 413; single heads, 143; total, 637. . Hose: TFnlihed canvas, 2^-inches, 248,337 feet; 2|-inehes, 511,000 feet. Rubber-lined: f-inch, 2780 feet; oneinch, 420 feet; inches, 3100 feet; 4-inches, 386 feet. Secretary Watts recorded his indebtedness to Captain T. Hugo, Inspector of Brigades, for returns of the 39 brigades under his control.
