BOWLING.

On account of the wet weather on Saturday the gala day arranged at the Terrace End Bowling Green was postponed until Saturday next. The function had promised to be a most successful ,one. Although ttie openair arrangements-'were, postponed a social and dance was held in ttie evening. Mr Gagliardi, who represented Shannon on Saturday at the Mamiwatu Bowling Centre’s champion of champions series in the singles 'Y-on his game in the first round against Mr Bryant, the scores being 25 to 7. In the second round he was defeated by Mr Ross by 18 to 16 after a good game.
