A few days ago a sweet-smell"-.-ig white dowering shrub growing in a Christchurch garden attracted swarms ot Red Admiral Uutterflies. There was quite a brilliant crowd of them, and a number of passersby stopped to watch the butterflies darting and chasing one another in the sunlight'. Where they all came from it is difficult to say (says the Sun), ahd the only explanation for their numbers is the presence of the shrub, as the Red Admiral usually flies round alone.
