No. 1 Wire Gang have built the main substation at Seiferfs 'Mill, also ran low tension wiring in the village and different mills. They have also completed 360 chains of 11,000 volt line as far as Tokomaru stream. No. 2 Wire Gang completed the high tension line to Foxton Heads and ran low tension wiring and erected four street lights in the township, 36 service lines were also run. In Levin Borough the gang put in 25 services. ; At Gladstone road they bound in 60 chains of 11,000 volt line. No; 3 Wire, Gang have completed the Otaki Be.ach low tension, RaJhui Valley high and tow tension, erected four street lights, built u short, stretch of line over.the telegraph line north of Otaki station, running . a i total of 190 chains, of wire.. Services .connected 18. No. 4 Wire Gang assisted the NO. 2 gang at Foxton Heads by running 21 service lines and the low tension and,services to Robinson's and others on the Lady's Mile Road- Since the holiday the Gang started at Te Horo where they have run 420 chains of low tension wire and 9 services, beside 189 chains of high tension, line on the Te Horo Loop. No. 5 Wire Gang completed tne low tension line from Heatherlea Ooirner and ran 7 service,lines, in that vicinity, also 2 in Levin Borough, 4 on Piaka road and 4 in Foxton vßorough. They also bound in 300 chains of high tension line from, Heatherlea corner.

Sub-station fitters: During the month three platforms, for transformers have been erected, besides connecting up transformers at Heatherlea comer, Rahui Valley, Kuku Dairy Factory, Foxfon Heads and Ross, Rough x and Co., Foxton.

Manakau Heads Group has. been linished by Messrs Holben Hubbard, and Co., Ltd., Group 14, Kimfoerley and J Gladstone Roads (Manson and Barr) j is making good progress. Group 16, Koputaroa, is not making such good progress. Group 8, in Levin Borough and vicinity (Messrs Alien, and Guimour) have eight more installations to complete. They report, that they will be finished in two, weeks time. Messrs. Walls, and Co., Foxton, have completed the Foxton Borough Group, with the exception of a few adjustments to different installations. Messrs Maunder and Co., have the motor installation iGroup complete, alsjoj,lne dairy factory group, with the exception of tokomaru and Levin factories. Messrs Manson and Barr have nut as yet completed any work in T'e Horo, but progress, is such that a fair amount will be ready in a fortnight's time. |

J. B. Wilson is making better headway' with the Paekakariki Group. Canvassing of the Waikanae group is now complete. Tenders . for Paraparaumu - group close on Saturday the 17th inst., and will be dealt with at the meeting on Tuesday. Groups are now being formed in the northern portion of the district between Shannon and Tokomaru. Canvassing is also being commenced in Bruce road and Ohau on Monday. Tenders and Contracts: As ..authorised at last Board meeting, the chairman and myself went carefully through the tenders, for triple-braided wire and let the contract to Messrs Carrick Wedderspoon, Ltd., Christchurch.

The supply of service fuses is not I yet ready to be decided upon,, as cor- j respondence and recjufirements of samples is still going on with certain | tenderers. i With regard to further supplies of transformers, 1 found it necessary to , secure certain sizes at once—subject, | therefore,, to the Board's confirmation, j an order for 16 transformers at previous contract prices has been forwarded to A. D. Riley and Co., the total cost being £lll9. $ .General: A number of electric /ranges, chiefly of McClary manufacture, have just arrived and are being opened up in \ the depot It Is intended to

deliver all ranges in order of date of signing applications, for same. Quantities of bare copper wire and insulators are at present being received into stock. The report was adopted.
