SHANNON’S, REQIi IREMBNTS.
At Thursday’s meeting of the Palmerston North Hospital Board the managing-secretary, Mr Phillips, reported that ihe hud visited Shannon recently, and there met representatives of the Mangahao Medical Association, Dr. Mackereth and Mr Thwaites. with reference to the medical service at Shannon. The association was prepared to guarantee 250 subscriptions for the last quarter of the present financial year-, and it had undertaken to pay the Board £75 monthly. . On this basis it would he possible to carry on with the present arrangement at Shannon for the balance of thq financial year without loss to the board. The association, out of what funds it still had in hand, would retain the services of the nurse for another three months at least..
