Hassan, of the Australian Meat Council, to reopen the question of making a reduction in freights on produce from Australia. Nearly in November tin: shipowners in refusing a reduction, said that they were losing money owing to the high port charges in Australia, especially stevedoring. In answer to Mr Ilassan, (he shipowners declined to state the percentages of State Federal charges and their total earnings.
