WEDDING.

HENNESSY—BUTLER. A very quiet but pretty wedding' waij solemnised at St, Josephs Church; Shannon, by the Rdv. Father McDermott, on the 18th inat. The. contracting parties were Eifrida, second daughter of Mr and Mrs. W. Butler, Grey Street,, to John. Kane Hennessy, both ■bride and bridegroom being . very papular in the district. The bride, who entered the church on the arm of her father, looked charming in a simple gown' of duchesse satin, with capelle of silver lace. She also wore the , customary wreath, land orange blossoms, and carried a beautiful bridal bouquet, the gift-of her aunt \,Mrs N.' Hunt, Karori). ( The bride was attended by Miss Hennessy as maid of honour. Her frock Was. of almond green 'georgette. trimmed with bands of lace. 'With this was. wßrn a becoming leghorn hat, trimmed VPlth water lilies and She -also carried a bouquet of heliotrope flowers. Dr. James. Hennessy attended his brother as groomsman. The bridal march from “Lohengrin,” and Mendelssohn’s “Wedding March” wajs’ the nuptial music. The .reception was attended by the immediate members of the family, Mr and Mrs Tom Moynihan, the latter wearing a-3-piece costume of fawn and paisley jersey silk, with almond green hat trimmed with gold lace. Mrs R. Hunt, Karori (aunt of the bride), fawn coat costume with hat to match, trimmed with blue and gold; Mrs Butler wore a frock of black and white crepe de chine with hat to : match. The presents were very numerous, and costly. The honeymoon is being spent in Auckland and Rotorua. The bride’s travelling costume was cinnamon marocaine, richly braided, a hat of almond green trimmed with; velvet shaded leaves, and a handsome seal-skin wrap.
