A cable message from Melbourne 1 contains the news that the polling under the Dairy Exports Control Act shows a large majority in favour of the Act. The results of the voting were 12.725 for and 4208 against, with . a few more votes to come in. It is obvious, of course, that the above figures apply to Victoria only, as the total voting papers sent out numbered 128,000. Even for Victoria alone, the number of votes recorded must be considered disappointing.seeing that 54,000 ballot papers were distributed in that State. The greatest interest in the measure was taken in Queensland, where the Act was'keenly opposed, but as this State possessed only 22,000 votes it is doubtful whether the opposition of the Queensland dairy farmers will have much „ effect on the general result....
