BUTTER-BOX TIMBER
TROUBLE IJT AUSTRALIA. As a sequel to complaints of Australian butter boxes arriving at overseas markets in unsatisfactory condition, a proposal to insist upon better butter boxes • made from Queensland timber being liiied with paraffin wax is being considered by the Minister of Customs. It is probable that butter packed in boxes manufactured from unseasoned timber will hot be accepted for export. Regarding the lining of the boxes with paraffin wax, the Minister has referred the point to the (Australian Dairy Council for discussion.
