FIRST TRIANGULAR SHIELD MATCH
The first round of the Triangular rihieid Match was. held on the Levin Bowling Club's green, yesterday afternoon, between four rinks of tne local club and "two each from snannon and Foxton. Ihe. weather was excellent and the green keen, Levin coming out ahead on the day's piay with an aggregate score of. 82 against Shannon 45 and Foxton 33, alter a very interesting and pleasant game. Afternoon tea was provided by Mesdames Suhan and Brown, and greatly appreciated by the large gathering of bowlers and iriends who attended. At the conclusion of the match, cheers were given for the. Levin Club by the visiting bowlers. The results ol tne games were as fallows, Levin rinks being given first in each case, tne first two, opposing rinks, being -from the Shannon Club, and *he others Foxton. ■ No. 1 Rink; Pink, Suhan, Pike, Hawke (s), 24, played -Clayton, Murray, Roach, Knowle.s.
