B. Walker, the Board's Construction loreman, wrote in reference to his bill tor 'power supplied, asking if it wajs the intention that tne , Board's oaicers li\mg m houses belonging to thq Board should pay lor. fight. ' The chairman said that there should be no hesitation on the Board's part in regard to this matter. The Boaru was not in a position to., give any elec* tricity awav. If this were sitarted, they did not know, where it would end. Rather the Board should, if they considered it necessary, increase the foreman's salary. M the Engineer recommendd that this should be done, then the Board could consider it. until then they could do nothing. No action was taken. ACCOUNTS FOR PAYMENT. Accounts totalling £2091 8s 2d were passed (for payment. . GENERAL. In answer to Mr Barber the Engineer stated that in ail probability, a. large proportion of the Fqxton Beach § township would be reticulated in time for Christmas. The contracts . would be let in a lew days and it would then depend on tale - expedition of the contractors.
