The difficulty in financing Australian clip is causing uncertainty. Tops quoted at: 64's (merino), 6s. 5d.; 56's (super half-bred), 4s. *2d.; 40’s prepared (coarse-cross bred), 2s. sd. Tallow. Spot market very firm and more business has been done forward. Present quotations are:—Mutton: Fine, 51s. to 525. per cwt; fair to good, 48s. to 50s. '6d.; dark to dull, 455. 6d. to 475.
