J grade October-Janu-ary shipment sold at £55 to-£56 10s., and value; now quoted at £56 10s. sellers. New Zealand market steady * and quiet. Highpoint October-Decem-ber shipment quoted at £46; fair, £43 and value. Wool.—Bradford, small business passing. Users have covered immediate requirements are are buying cautiously. The difficulty in financing Australian clip is causing uncertainty. Tops quoted at: 64's (merino), 6s. 5d.; 56's (super half-bred), 4s. *2d.; 40’s prepared (coarse-cross bred), 2s. sd. Tallow. Spot market very firm and more business has been done forward. Present quotations are:—Mutton: Fine, 51s. to 525. per cwt; fair to good, 48s. to 50s. '6d.; dark to dull, 455. 6d. to 475. Beef: Sweet and/or mixed, 51s. to 525.; fair to good, 48s. to 505.; dark . to dull, 44 s. 6d. to 465.; mixed, fair to good, 475. 6d. to 495. 3d.; dark to dull, 445. to 465.
