BENZINE EXPLOSION FIRE HOUSE

NAPIER, Last Night Whilst the tank of a motor car was being- filled in a shedyat the rear of a residence in Napier South, on. Saturday evening, the motor spirit exploded, and a conflagration was soon under way. A strong breeze rapidly fanned the flames. They soon spread to tin: house, which was burning furiously when the brigade arrived. The adjoining house nad actually caught alight also, but the brigade was able to prevent much damage in that case. The first house (and the contents) owned and occupied by Arch. Irvine was practically completely destroyed. The insurance is not ascsrtainable.
