MR LINKLATER DEFENDED.
“It is, a matter for regret tliat Mi;*' Linklater should have been attacked like he has been in some quarters over the railway deviation proposals,” said Mr J. A. Nash, M.P., when speaking at a social function on Saturday night. “No man in the House works harder for and studies the interests of his constituency more than does . Mr Linklater,” added Mr Nash] "and it is regrettable that he should have been the subject of such criticism. The time to speak oh the railway report is not yet. I myself spoke for a minute or so when fhe report was brought down. The real time to discuss the report will be when it comes before the House in its. proper form. I can say this: that the Manawatu constituency could, not have an abler or more thoroughly conscientious representative in the House than Mr Lmkiater.”
