METHODIST CONCERT.
AN ENJOYABLE . PROGRAMME. There was a very good attendance at the Methodist conceit held in the Parish Hall -on. Wednesday night, and the promoters have every reason to he proud q 1 the appreciation shown by the audience. Many ot tlie.'items would have done credit to a city platform, and' although there were some outstanding items it would be unlair to specially mention any as each! gave oi tueir best and did well. . . The Methodist Church officials wish to thank all those who so willingly and generously assisted. The programme was as follows Glee “Let the Hills Resound with Song”; recitation, Miss Vera Quarrie song, Miss Chalk; piano duet, Misses Burling and Blight; dialogue, Gossiping Neighbours”; piano solo, Miss Doris Cartel'; recitation, Miss Ngaire Payne- violin solo, Mr W. H. Roberts; song, Miss Quarrie; recitation, Miss Margaret' Roberts; vocal duet, Misses Thompson; instrumental quartette, Misses Neal, Spencer (2), qnd Quarrie; glee, “O, Peaceful Night, dialogue, Mis s and Me. Quarrie; song, Miss Hoffman; violin solo, Miss Pickles ; song, Miss Chalk; recitation, Miss Eileen Roberts ; song, Mr Quarrie; piano solo Freeman; Miss Mona Ingley; glee, “The Gat and the Fiddle”; recitation, Rev. Mr Peryman; dialogue. “Sugar and Cream.’ The .accompanists were Mrs Barber, Miss Neal, Mtes Quarrie and Mrs Freeman. “God Save the King brought to a close a xnost enjoy, able evening.
