The Exchange Auction Mart, with headquarters at Palmerston North, intend opening a branch of their business at Shannon and the first sale will be held on Friday, 29th inst., at ' 2 p.m. -Commodious and up-to-date premises have been secured at the back of the County Stores, Ballance Street, 'Mr Joe Beard, well-known in the district, has been appointed local agent, and will be pleased to receive entries of live stock, pigs, poultry, farmers’ sundries, furniture, etc., any time up to the time of sale. The well-known auctioneer for the Palmerston North, Exchange , Marty Mr Geo. A. Broad, will conduct the sales. The firm are prepared to purchase outright or sell on commission. Vendors can rely upon receiving prompt account sales and cheque and Bank references can be given. This enterprising firm should receive the whole-hearted support of the residents of Shannon and surrounding district.
