WEDDING BELLS.

NEWTH—'SPRING.. A pretty wedding took place on July 23rd, at ythe Methodist Church, Foxton, when Alberta Marguerite, daughter of Mr and Mrs C. A. Spring, of Moutoa, was married to Thomas John, younger son of Mr and Mrs M. Newth, ■of Palmerston North (late of Moutoa). The officiating clergyman was the Rev. S. Peryman. Mrs Peryman presided at the organ, and played the Wedding March as the bride entered the Church. «The hymn, “The Voice that Breathed o’er Eden” was sung. Tire cliureh had been nicely decorated by friends of the bride. Tire bride, who was given away by her father, wore a dress, of white satin with georgette panels, with an embroidered veil, and a coronet of pearls and orange blossoms and carried a bouquet of white flowers .with, pale pink streamers. The bride’s sister Keith a was bridesmaid and wore a frock of white crepe do chine with a shot blue hat, and carried a bouquet of pink and white flowers with streamers of pale heliotrope, pink and 'blue. Two little flower gil ls were also in attendance—-Joyce Shaw, wearing pink organdie,, and Peggy Aitken, lejnon organdie. Both wore tulle veils to tone with their dresses and carried baskets of flowers. Mr Ken Rollet was best man.

The bridegroom’s gift to the bride was a fur coat, to the bridesmaid an ebony toilet set, and to the flower girls strings of pearls.

After the ceremony a reception was held at the Town Hall supper rooms, when the usfial toasts were honoured.

Tiie - happy couple left for their honeymoon, the bride wearing a threepiece costume of grey garbadine and floral marocain and grey and tangerine hat and a fur coat.

The- hridegroom’s mother wore a navy costume and black hat and carried a posy of violets. The bride’s mother wore a nigger brown braided coat frock and a brown hat and car- ! ried a posy of yellow flowers and autI uirai leaves. The bouquets and posies 1 were made and presented by Mrs Galland, of Newbury (late of Moutoa,). The wedding presents included several cheques, and also an oak and silver , salad bowl and teapot and stand from the, residents of Moutoa and Marotiri. Tn the evening a dance was held J n the Moutoa Hall, when a very pleasant. evening Was spent, njhe young couple will reside at j Kairahga.
