WIN AGAINST SHANNON. On Saturday afternoon, a Levin team played the Shannon Golf Club, and were successful in winning by three games., after a very pleasant afternoon's play., The weather, although threatening early in the day cleared up well, and although dull, was fine. Tea was provided by the Ja dies of the Shannon Club and taken at tables set under the trees in the picturesque native bush which .forms 4 an ideal background for the clubhouse. Results of the games are as Shannon players being given first in each instance. Saxon won from Biss. Morgan won from France. Seifert lost to Clark. Gagliardi won from Kilsby. Grainger lost to Hosie. Dinnic lost to Adams. Anderson lost to O'Donnell. Grylls won from Bould. Johnston lost to Suhan. Reinke lost to Throne. Spencer Jost to Rev. Harris. . Swaney won from Scoon. Mrs. Saxon lost to Mrs. Porter. Mrs Johnston lost to Mrs Clark. Mrs Hosking all.square Miss Marsh. Mrs Nelson won from Miss Kebbell.

Next Saturday the August medal match will be played. Players are asked to start as early as possible and hand in their cards at the end of the day. Players to select own partners. Ladies, nine holes; men eighteen.
