TOKOMARU NEWS.
(From, out own Correspondent.) Great preparations are in hand to ensure the success of toe Bachelors' Ball, which is to take place on Friday (to-night). The services of Mr Duckworth's orchestra have been secured, and given a* fine evening an enjoyable time is promised to participants. Mr Cyril Whyte is spending a sihort holiday in the Empire City. Miss Moody is visiting friends in the South Island. Mr George Bacon is still lying seriously ill at his home. Mr C Palmer has been granted leave in order to attend the Territorial camp at Trentham.
