MATCH FIXED FOR JULY 26. FAITH KEPT WITH -MANAWATU. , WELLINGTON, Last Night. - The Management Committee of the New Zealand Rugby Union again changed its collective mind to-night and now it lias decided that Palmerston North,/arid nob Wellington, will have the, privilege of seeing the All Blacks in action on Saturday, July 20th. 4 Mr S. S. Dean reported the result of a deputation from the .New .Zealand Unions, when Wellington had , decided to take the fixture. Mr E. McKenzie, who was not present- at the special meeting of the v committee which decided the fixtures at Auckland and Wellington, took exception to Palmerston’s .being .left out. H e asserted that they were not keeping faith with the Manawatu Union. Mr Dean then read a letter from Palmerston, asking for the match and stating that they could get just as big a gate as AVellington could for a week clay. Mr Dean' added that Wellington , was not very keen on the fixture. ... Mi* Hornig: “Wellington does not want it.” IMr McKenzie: “It would he no hardship to Wellington and then we could keep faith with Palmerston. I propose that the match be played at Palmerston on the Saturday.” Mr Dean: “It would upset the arrangements in Wellington, There 13 a dinner on Monday night’ and other farewells.” Mr McKenzie: “Football comes before feasting'!’'

Mr Dean: “I would .rather see Palmerston get the match if it had to he played on Tlnn*sd%.” Mr Wylie: “And cut Auckland out?” Mr McKenzie: “You don’t want to do that. The match would do a lot ol good there.” Mr Dean: “Auckland wants a match and Wellington doesn’t”.

Mr Wylie: “The Wellington public will he disappointed.” Mr Mullany: “Well, the Union does not want it.”

Mr Hornig: “They took it with a good grace.” After further dicussion, the motion was carried and it was decided to play the match in Palmerston at on*> o’clock in order that the team would arrive in Wellington the same night. The Auckland fixture for Wednesday, July 23rd, was confirmed.
