D EP ARTMENTAL STATEMENT. , DR. HENRY JELLETTS SERVICES SECURED. The toll owing statement was issued from the qflice of the- Minister for Public Health yesterday:— “In connect! ou with the Government’s campaign loir the reduction of maternal, mortality, the Public Health Department has been fortunate ill. securing 'the services of Dr. Henry Jellett, one of the most eminent living authorities on midwifery. Although Dr. JeJlett’a engagement with the department will toe part-time only, his advice will toe available to the health service at all times.

“As every medical practitioner knows, Dr. Jelletl is highly qualified His text hooks on midwifery are regarded as standard works. Dr. Jellett was lor seven years master of the famous Rotunda. Hospital in Dublin. He is also a lata King’s Professor of Midwifery of Dublin University. Since his arrival in New Zealand five years ago lie has been in practice in Christchurch. The Department of Health lias been singularly fortunate in securing the services of so eminent an authority.”
