A £7OOO EASTER EGG.

Kaid to be the most valuable likiater egg in the' world, and probably the only one that has ever been insured, a chocolate egg, about, the size of a football, was ordered early this year, as a surprise for his -wife, by a wealthy South American staying at the Savoy Hotel, London.

The making of the egg was entrusted to the head chef of the Savoy Restaurant. Inside was about £7OOO worth of jewels, including some beautiful unset llrazilian diamonds. It took about ten days to make.

Little chocolate! devices were built on the inside of the for the jewel-' lery to hang on. - In the wall of the egg' was a little chocolate cabinet, with tiny drawers for the unset stones.
