It stars Douglas (Maclean in tlie cleverest role of his laugh-making career. FRIDAY’S SPECIAL. D. W. Griffith's latest achievement “White Rose” is due at the theatre on Friday. The climax of a wonderful drama, is thus described: The world moves on its cycle of woe ; the grocer’s clerk, rebuffed -again and again by the patrician girl who* has won his heart, goes into, the world to make good that he may win; the youthful student is ordained into the ministry and® soon ranks high as of exceptional powers; to the little orphan jgirl who, blossomed into the flapper ‘‘Teazle” comets a tiny babe, and like a. blossom she fades, is cast about hither and thither, shunned and neglected because of her violation .of that terrible single code of morals which has held so long. Despite his surroundings, his success in the pulpit, the; brilliance of his future, the young minister cannot forget, the girl lie met, and knew so briefly. Pressed bv circumstances he is soon to wed Marie Carrington. Then.one day there wanders into his parish “Teazie” with her infant in her. arms, homeless, forlorn. Then comes the choice —the girl of his own rank and social circle; the honors and glories of the Dulbit to gain which tie must forever yield his love, the only love of his life. Which shall he choose?
